Hounslow Greens join hundreds on Heathrow demo

27 April 2013

Activists from Hounslow Green Party braved the cold to join hundreds of other protestors at Barn Elms, on 27 April, 2013 to protest against Heathrow expansion.

The Third Runway is being considered by a commission chaired by ex-Financial Services Authority boss Sir Howard Davies as one of a number of options to expand capacity.

The Green party are opposed to all airport expansion and would prefer to see rail services improved.  A new runway at Heathrow would blight the lives of many in Hounslow as planes would fly over areas north of the existing flight paths.  There would be more noise and more pollution, particularly near Heathrow.

A vote for the Green Party is a vote against Heathrow expansion.
