Tony Firkins to stand with Stephen Clark in Brentford West for Greens

Hounslow Green Party have selected Tony Firkins to stand with Stephen Clark in Brentford West in the Hounslow local elections in May 2022.

Tony stood for the Green Party in Feltham and Heston in the 2015, 2017 and 2019 General Elections, and has stood in council elections.

Tony spent his working career in Information Technology.  He was a leader in the design of Tesco Mobile taking it from zero to over 5 million customers.

Recently Tony has worked with the Green Party on climate and energy policy. He contributed to the Green Party 2019 General Election manifesto, and advises the national press team.

Locally Tony is involved in ecological campaigns.  He brought a petition to the council to declare a climate emergency and continues to fight to ensure that new buildings do not have gas boilers. Tony has worked with other local groups including Brentford Voice on campaigns including tackling air pollution, opposing building on the Green Belt and the expansion of Heathrow Airport.

Stephen Clark, the other Green Party candidate for Brentford West said “Tony has done marvellous work holding the council to account on the climate emergency and in our other campaigns.  He will make an excellent councillor!”
