Rashid Wahab

Rashid said “I am a strong believer in making a real positive change to the lives of our people, communities, and country through the Green Party. I have been involved in Climate Change and Sustainability programmes for over ten years and have worked in both the Public and Private sector. My work in the public sector enables me to support families and businesses cope with the Cost of Living crisis. I also work on programmes to minimise carbon emissions and the impact of climate change that are causing serious harm to our environment.”

“The people of Heston West need strong, independent voices in Hounslow Council.”

“You have told us they you worried about the cost-of-living crisis. I will work to deliver more support to improve lives and livelihoods.”

“You have told us you are disgusted by the rubbish littering their streets.  I will tackle fly-tipping aggressively and prosecute the criminals who do this.”

“You have told us you are worried about their security. I will fight for more CCTV in affected places.”

“You have told us you are fed up with cars being driven too fast through neighbourhood streets, endangering children and the elderly in particular.  I will fight for traffic calming, enforced by law. “

“You have told us you worry about air pollution and the interminable noise of planes from and to Heathrow. I will battle against the Third Runway – it is an assault on the environment.”

“I spend my time with my two daughters, my passion is sustainability and climate and I engage in related activities, and I also support families with children who have additional needs. I also go to the gym regularly and play various sports.”
