On Thursday 11 April 2024 Watermans Arts Centre in Brentford closed its door for maybe the last time. Green party activists joined local residents to protest against the closure.

Greens support striking Hestia workers

Hounslow Green party activists braved the cold weather to support striking Hestia LIFE workers on the evening of 1 March 2023. The protest at Hounslow House was about pay and conditions at the Hestia Service Hounslow LIFE, which provides support to vulnerable people living in Hounslow. The Unite members at Hestia LIFE are striking because their employer, Hestia, has refused to negotiate with them. Hounslow Council fund the Hestia LIFE service.

Greens angered by response to request for a Fairer Voting System

Hounslow Green party are supporting the national cross-party “Councils for PR” (Proportional Representation) campaign for a fairer voting system. Stephen Clark, the Hounslow organiser for Councils for PR, has approached all sixty-three London Borough of Hounslow councillors on three separate occasions to ask for their support., and is disappointed with the response.

Hounslow Green Party have chosen Rashid Wahab to stand in the local by-election in Heston West on Thursday 9 March 2023. The by-election was caused by the sudden resignation of Councillor Adriana Gheorghe.
